Canal Walk Shopping Centre, Marketing Concepts wins at the Spectrum Awards

 

The Spectrum Awards recognise excellence, innovation and service across four categories which underpin the retail centre sector in South Africa. An initiative of the South African Council of Shopping Centres (SACSC), finalists for the Spectrum Awards comprise winners of the regional Special Star Retailer and Service Provider Awards, the Footprint Marketing Awards and the Retail Design and Development Awards (RDDA).

Holding the spotlight, Canal Walk’s ‘Snow’ marketing campaign by Marketing Concepts won the Spectrum Shopping Centre Marketing Excellence Award 2011, the hotly-contested category which celebrates excellence in shopping centre marketing.

Marketing Concepts acknowledged for outstanding marketing excellence 2011

 

At the recent regional Footprint Marketing Awards, an initiative by the South African Council of Shopping Centres (SACSC), Marketing Concepts collected a total of seven awards for Canal Walk Shopping Centre in Cape Town and Sandton City Shopping Centre in Johannesburg.

The company was acknowledged for the success of their marketing strategies, innovation, creativity, and vision. Marketing Concepts represents many leading listed property counters and iconic retail and mixed use developments, as well as representative bodies of the property industry.

Marketing Concepts scooped a duo of coveted Gold Footprint Marketing Awards for “Snow at Canal Walk” and “Canal Walk gets social”.

A slick four Silver Footprint Marketing Awards went to Marketing Concepts for the “Canal Walk Iconic Brand Campaign” and the Canal Walk “Motorshow”. Silver winners also include “Sandton City Easter World Record” and “Sandton City International Interactive Artwork”. Bronze winners include “Sandtonista and social media” campaign at Sandton City.

Winners of the coveted SACSC Footprint Marketing Awards now go on to contest the prestigious nationwide Spectrum Awards, which honour the best of the best among South African shopping centres and their individual retailers. The Spectrum Awards will be held under the auspices of the SACSC in Johannesburg, in November.
